Sponsorship provides access to resources like:
Nutrition
Children cannot function as they should when they are not getting fed properly. Sponsorship ensures that your sponsored child is provided enough food for 3 meals/day, so that they can learn, play, and grow.
Educational Support
In order for the next generation to beat the cycle of poverty, they must be educated. Throughout the year we assist children with the materials they need to be successful in school.
Medical Care
Because our children live in the poorest areas of Ethiopia, they face many health challenges. Sponsorship gives them access to our medical fund, allowing children and family members to receive medical care as needed.
Community Development
As we strengthen families, we are also strengthening the communities in which they live. Businesses are being started, resources are being poured in, and hope rises throughout the community.
Relationship
… And the greatest of these is Love. We have been strategic in partnering with ministries that put priority on loving those within their communities. Through our local staff, mission trips, and letters from sponsors, we hope our sponsorship families feel supported.
Spiritual Support
We believe that a relationship with God and learning the truths of the Bible are vital in children becoming all that they can be. When sponsored, children are regularly exposed to bible teachings and prayer through our programs.

Can I send letters to my sponsored child?
We welcome letters or customized contents that fit into a quart-sized Ziploc Bag. You can include handwritten letters, photos, small toys, etc. These bags must be limited to quart sized with the sponsored family’s name printed in permanent marker on the outside of the bag, and mailed to our office. Bags and letters will be taken to Ethiopia on our next Team Trip. Mail to:

Who do I contact to change my payment information?

Can I send gifts to my sponsored child?
The OH Mission Market is a wonderful tool to purchase practical, much needed gifts and household items for your sponsored child. All gifts will be purchased in Ethiopia and delivered by our local field staff. In most cases, you will also receive a picture once they’ve received it. To learn more, visit missionmarket.store.
How often will I get updates?
Updates occur at least twice per year, during the summer and winter months. Updates include a mailer to your home or a video to your email address on file. Please reach out to us if your home address or email address change.
Can I travel to Ethiopia and meet my sponsored child?
Absolutely! Some of the best moments of our trips are sponsors meeting and getting to know their sponsored child. It creates a lifelong bond, and memories for both of you. How much of my giving goes to my sponsored child?
Sponsorships are $62/mo. A small percentage goes toward online processing fees and international money transfer fees, in order to send your donation to Ethiopia each month. The remaining goes to the family of your sponsored child in the form of a monthly food package, school supplies, access to medical care as well as social workers that facilitate the distribution each month. We also save a small percentage per month to provide a Christmas chicken to each sponsored family.

If you are interested in doing more for your sponsored child, such as Mother Empowerment, rent assistance, or a Private School Scholarship, please do not hesitate to reach out.
